BENEO is a worldwide expert in the exploration and conversion of rice varieties to naturally derived, functional starches, flours and highly digestible protein. Thanks to being highly versatile, these ingredients can be applied to an ample range of feed applications.
Our specialty rice ingredients are an ideal source of energy for young, sensitive animals or those that need extra care. Next to nutritional benefits, they also showcase outstanding technological benefits. Their binding behaviour allows for the optimisation of various products such as extruded and (semi-) moist feed or pet food.
Certified sourcing: 100 % non-GMO
Our specialty rice ingredients are produced from rice brokens. These are carefully sourced, 100 % non-GMO, and comply to the strictest quality standards. In order to achieve different levels of functionality, we use different rice varieties: indica, waxy and japonica. Production is executed in two state-of-the-art, food-certified processing plants in Belgium and Italy.
Our premium rice flours are produced through a process of dry milling, while our rice starches and protein are obtained through wet milling after the separation of both fractions. We also offer clean label and pre-gelatinised rice ingredients. The latter are rice flours and starches that have been further processed (heat-moisture treatment) to deliver extra functionality in specific feed applications.

Our rice flours are predominantly used as a hypoallergenic source of energy for sensitive animals. It is available in different granule sizes, concentrations and also in pre-cooked form. Our rice protein is a highly concentrated source of protein of the highest quality. In addition, our varieties of rice starches can be used as a clean label ingredient in pet food.
